Jules David Bartkowski

Jules David Bartkowski will make his directorial and acting debut with the feature film Pastor Paul. The film is a co-production between Pidgen Unlimited in Ghana and Mettenheimer Filmproduktion - a US-based company co-owned by Bartkowski and collaborator Dylan Pasture.

The team most recently worked together on the five-part web series Alouette in 2012. The series, set in New Orleans, went on to be licensed by two online-streaming networks: Koldcast TV and iThentic. Bartkowski also lent his voice talents to Pasture's 2013 short film "Seriously Delinquent."

While studying in Ghana, Bartkowski met the artists behind Pidgen Unlimited, working as a production assistant and researcher during their 2009 Cultural Caravan Tour: a vaudeville-style theatrical revue starring several of Ghana's top hip-hop, afrobeat and pop music artists, as well as stars of film and television.

Bartkowski is a writer, filmmaker, and an actor - who also makes a living cleaning apartments in New York City.
